Today I am going to be comparing the book version vs. movie version of Hobbit and just chatting about it a bit. **Spoilers for both down below** Do not read if you have not watched or read Hobbit and want to. First Major difference is the fact that there is ONE book and THREE movies.   The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien, a Book Review: This is another children’s book that teaches leadership lessons. In The Hobbit; or, There and Back Again, Bilbo starts out on the quest reluctantly with Gandalf and 13 dwarves – Balin, Dwalin, Kili, Fili, Dori, Nori, Ori, Oin, Gloin, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Thorin Oakenshield, the chief dwarf.

The Hobbit, on the other hand, is based on a children’s book Tolkien was a Catholic, and his Catholicism did influence some of the themes in his writing, but not to the extent of say CS Lewis’s pure allegories.
